Trans World Airlines (TWA) had a rich history lasting more than seven decades. Throughout that time, TWA operated 35 Boeing 747s, including three Special Performance (SP) for ultra long-range routes. TWA took delivery of its first SP in 1980, but by 1986, all SPs left the fleet.
